It is important to recognise that effective teaching and learning depend on part on the strategies employed in instruction, i.e. planning, choosing learning materials, implementing instructional activities, and evaluating student performance. in order to plan, there is need to understand the underlying principles and process of curriculum implementation. this course aims at providing teachers with the skills to analyze and implement the curriculum, particularly in English, Literacy/reading ans social studies. a major objective is o develop competence in utilizing a variety of teaching strategies that are applicable to specific curricular areas. The participants will become acquainted also with rationale and processes of curriculum integration, unit planning and appropriate classroom assessment procedures.
