ESC: 3203 is a continuation of ESC:3205. It will enable students to understand the basic concept of Science.However,this aspect will continue to develop some basic principles and practices of Science Education.
This course is designed to assist Student Teachers in the Bachelors of Education Program to understand some basic principles of Science with emphasis on the discovery approach. It is hoped that with this approach, student teachers will appreciate the scientific principles to the extent that they will be motivated to teach science in the primary schools through the discovery method.

It is intended to provide participants with essential knowledge about document and empirical research particularly in the social sciences. Additionally, it exposes participants to the concepts, considerations, tools, issues and skills pertinent to research as an important aspect of quality university education. It is designed to provide a practical and user-friendly approach for the proper conduct of research and to acquaint participants with the scientific research process, principles, procedures and practices. Though theoretical in focus it will provide an opportunity for participants to have practical insights to research through group simulations to design, conduct and write a research.
